Our Staff reporter WARBURTON - The Punjab Agriculture Department has chalked out a plan to grow vegetables on spare open lands at government institutes even in marlas, said Agriculture Officer Muhammad Waqas. He pointed that they had cultivated green chilli, garlic, onion, ginger, coriander, mint etc. at various government institutes of Warburton like the office of the Agriculture officer, Schools, RHC, Town Committee, Veterinary Hospital, Union Council Complex, Girls College, and Slaughter House, covering total area of more than 4 kanal. Ripened vegetables will be sold on as and where basis and the proceeds would be spent on the uplift and betterment of the institute concerned, he explained. He argued that in case of big project, however, its expenditure and income record would be maintained by the Agriculture Officer in his office.
