The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has allotted former interior minister, Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan, the electoral symbol of a 'jeep' for the upcoming general election.

The Returning Officer (RO), Shabrez Akhtar Raja, approved the 'jeep' as the electoral symbol for Chaudhry Nisar. 

Former interior minister has been associated with the Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N). But, however, recently separated himself with the party due to certain differences with party leadership.

He will contest the general election 2018 as an independent candidate. He has submitted his nomination papers from constituencies NA-63, NA-59, PP-10 and PP-12.

The general elections will held on July 25, 2018.
