Sudden fire which erupted on Margalla Hills area near Trail-5 on Thursday morning played havoc with green area on 40 acres of land was not controlled till the last reports came in.

After failure of the Capital Development Authority (CDA), Pakistan Army was called to help in extinguishing the fire.

According to ISPR, four helicopters of the Pakistan Army and Air Force remained busy in extinguishing the fire while contingents of Pakistan Army and officers were sent to airlift the local people to safer places.
