ISLAMABAD - Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) will back the PPP-led government in every step to maintain law and order in Balochistan, so the incumbent government should also leave no stone unturned to resolve the issues of the province.“The government should take concrete measures to resolve all issues of Balochistan as soon as possible. We will support the government to normalise the situation in the province,” MQM spokesman Wasay Jalil shared with TheNation.He said MQM is in favour of provincial autonomy under 18th Amendment, adding that the people of deprived province (Balochistan) should be persuaded to participate in the next general election.To a question about utility of conference on Balochistan issues, Wasay Jalil said there was a dire need to highlight the issues of this province at different platforms so that more solution come to fore. “There is dire need to concentrate on rights of the baloch people living in unrest situation,” he said.It is relevant to mention here that the Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) organised this conference on ‘Balochistan Issue and Its Solution’ in the backdrop of growing number of missing persons and most tragically mutilated bodies of those who went missing and later their bodies were dumped in broad daylight.The participants called for urgent measures for the resolution of the Balochistan issue and to remove sense of deprivation among the people of the province. They also called for ceasing all military operations in Balochistan.A15-point declaration demanding that politics of garrison should be replaced by a purely civilian-led administration that genuinely represents the will of the people.
