CTD kills 2 terrorists in Gujrat

Two terrorists of a banned organization were killed in encounter with Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) in Gujrat on Wednesday night.

According to CTD spokesman, the raid was carried out on an intelligence tip-off about presence of militants, planning a terror attack. Explosive material and arms were recovered from dead terrorists.

As the CTD personnel began to besiege the hideout, the terrorists opened fire at them. In exchange of fire two terror suspects were killed while three others managed to flee from the spot taking advantage of darkness.

However, the identities of slain terrorists could be ascertained so far.

CTD carried out an operation at Muzaffargarh Road in Multan and arrested three terrorists of a banned organization. According to CTD spokesman, the arrested terrorists were planning to target a congregation of a religious party.

The CTD spokesman further informed that the arrested terrorists belonged to a banned outfit and were experts in manufacturing bombs and explosive material.
