MPA Mumtaz Jajja dies of dengue

LAHORE PML-Ns Member Punjab Assembly Ch Mumtaz Ahmed Jajja died of dengue at Jinnah Hospital on Thursday after remaining in the Intensive Care Unit for three days. Jajja, 66, was suffering from cardiovascular impairment, which made him more susceptible to the sting. Despite medics best efforts during his week-long treatment, he could not survive. His body has been despatched to his native town Yazman, where he will be buried on Friday. He was parliamentary secretary education, besides being a member of cooperatives committee of the Punjab Assembly. He has left five children to mourn his death. Ch Mumtaz Ahmad Jajja was born on June 15, 1948, at Tehsil Yazman, Bahawalpur. He graduated in 2003 from Zakariya University, Multan. He served as Member Zila Council, Bahawalpur, for two terms during 1979-83, 1983-87; as Chairman Markaz Council Derawar, District Bahawalpur, during 1979-83; as Vice Chairman, Cholistan Wool Co-operative Society Bahawalpur; as Chief Games Warden, Punjab, as District President during 2002-09. An agriculturist, who served as Member National Assembly during 1985-88, and was elected as MPA in general elections of 2008. PML-N President Nawaz Sharif, Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif, Punjab Assembly Speaker Rana Muhammad Iqbal, Senior Advisor to CM Sirdar Zulfiqar Ali Khan Khosa, ministers of the provincial cabinet and MPAs have expressed deep sorrow and grief over the sad demise of Mumtaz Jajja. In their condolence messages, they prayed that may Allah Almighty rest the departed soul in eternal peace and grant courage and strength to the bereaved family to bear the irreparable loss with fortitude.
