ISLAMABAD - The Islamabad Healthcare Regulatory Authority (IHRA) on Wednesday suspended licenses of two labs involved in preparing fake PCR reports. A statement issued by IHRA said that inspection teams carried out inspections of 82 healthcare establishments (HCEs) in different areas of Islamabad Capital Territory during the past two weeks. It said that 20 of these healthcare establishments were visited upon complaints received in the IHRA Complaints Unit against different HCEs. The healthcare establishments visited included hospitals, rehabilitation centres, diagnostic labs, collection points, dental clinics, vaccination centres, GP Clinics and homeo/tibb clinics. IHRA suspended the services until further orders of Shareef Lab and Khan Lab for preparing fake PCR reports, DLD Lab for keeping expired reagents, Biotech Medical Lab for expired VTM and tubes, Life Care International Hospital for keeping expired kits, Aryan Clinic and Amin Clinic for unqualified staff.
