Court extends Zahir Jaffar’s  judicial remand till September 6

Islamabad   -  A judicial magistrate on Monday extended the judicial remand of Zahir Zakir Jaffar, the alleged killer of Noor Mukadam, till September 6.

The extension was sought by police investigators following the expiry of his previous two-week remand pronounced on August 27.

After Judicial Magistrate Muhammad Imran granted a fresh extension of remand, the alleged killer of Noor Mukadam is now set to remain in Adiala Jail for another six days. Police had brought Zahir Zakir Jaffar from Adiala Jail to temporary lockup in district courts Islamabad amid tight security. When the court took up Noor Mukadam case, the police investigators marked attendance of the accused before court through a court order. Later, police escorted the suspected killer to Adiala Jail.

The investigation team was scheduled to submit challan before the court of law on August 30 but it was not done by the police.
