The candidate for the slot of librarian District bar Association and 10 members of its executive council were declared as elected unopposed on Tuesday.
Polling to elect office-bearers on other seats of the DBA, however, would be held on Jan 9.
Imran Joyia was elected unopposed as librarian of the DBA besides 10 members of the executive council. The members include: Naveed Ashraf, Sheraz Munir, Rana Sakhawat Khan, Wasim Aslam, Sadaf Siddiq, Khalid Mahmood, Shahid Zeb Sargana, Muhammad Nawaz, Munaf Khan and Ch Safdar Ali.
There will be one-on-one contest between Ch Abdul Waheed Maan and Mian Farrukh Iqbal for the slot of DBA president, Mian Mahmud Siddiq and Ghulam Sarwar Babar are vying for the post of vice president, Mian Salman Ghani and Iftikhar Niazi are in the run for the seat of general secretary, Tajammal Nafees Bhatti and Nadeem Zarnab are eyeing the slot of joint secretary and Abid Ali Sipra and Ms Saba Bano for in the run for the slot of finance secretary of the DBA.The polling for the annual election of the DBA will be held on Jan 9.
