The Karakoram Highway (KKH) between Chilas and Gilgit is still blocked for all types of traffic.

According to the details, Frontier Works Organization (FWO) has cleared debris of landslides at 23 different points of KKH while work in Tata Pani is underway where a 120 meters of road was encaved.

As per the recent reports, the KKH segment which was blocked at Hassanabad in Hunza has been opened. 

In addition to this, the KKH segment of Naran-Babusar road, which was blocked due to landslide after torrential rain at Lolusarin Naran, has also been opened for all types of traffic.

Earlier today, flash floods hit various localities of Gilgit including Jutial, Basine and Buirmas Nallas.
