SAHIWAL -District and Sessions Judge Rana Masood Akhtar inaugurated the secretariat of senior civil judge at district courts here the other day.
All the judges of district judiciary including Farrukh Fareed Baloch, senior civil judge, were present on the occasion. It is the first project of its kind in Punjab. The secretariat possesses all facilities of a modern administrative unit and comprises different administrative offices.
All branches of the secretariat are linked through internet. On the occasion, the district and sessions judge said the secretariat would benefit the district judiciary in a befitting way. It would also help resolve litigants' problems in more efective way, he expressed his hope.

Citizens deprived of cash, valuables

Kasur- Citizens were deprived of cash and other valuables in two separate incidents here the other day.
Muhammad Saeed, salesman of a private company, was on the way back home when he was intercepted by three dacoits who snatched Rs25,000, a cellphone and other valuables from him. On the other hand, two unidentified dacoits entered the general store of Tariq near Depalpur Road and made off with cash, a cellphone and other valuables. Both incidents occurred in the Ellahabad Police precincts. Investigation is underway.
