Bounce Club, Askari Al-Faz to compete for Quaid-e-Millat Basketball trophy today

Lahore - Bounce Club, Askari Al-Faz Club have qualified for the final of the Quaid-e-Millat Basketball Tournament after winning their respective semifinals played at at International Abdul Nasser Basketball Court, Aram Bagh, Karachi. 
Shamsi Academy Chairman Khalid Jamil Shamsi was the special guest while Ghulam Muhammad Khan and others were also present on the occasion. In the first semifinal played yesterday, Bounce Basketball Club easily defeated Bahria Basketball Club by 53-34. Mohsin Riaz played a brilliant game on behalf of the winning club. With the help of 5 three pointers, 26, Zia Ahmed 10 and Mohammad Mubashir scored 9 while runner-up club’s Hammad Waseem 10, Aun Akram 9 and Bilal Khan scored 8 basketballs. 
In the second semifinal, Askari Al-Faz Club defeated Omega Basketball by 49-43 after an interesting contest. Shah Mir Zaheer (13), Syed Bakhtiar Ahmed (10), Saifullah Noshirwani and Anas Usman (9.9) from the winning club while Qasim Zia (17), Asad Alvi (13) and Hassan from the runner-up club, Zafar scored 10 basketballs. In both the semi-finals, national basketball referees Zafar Iqbal, Ghulam Muhammad Senior, Ashraf Yahya and Engineer Zainal Abidin Channa acted as referees while technical officials Zaeema Khatun, Naeem Ahmed, Mumtaz Ahmed and Zahid Malik officiated. 
Before the semifinal match, the special guest was introduced to the players by Khalid Jamil Shamsi, Chairman, Shamsi Academy. KBBA President Ghulam Muhammad Khan, Zulfiqar Abbas Khan and others were present on the occasion.
