Pakistan political arena is naturally quite hectic and complex but it got dangerously serious with the sudden arrival of Allama Dr Tahirul Qadri, Chairman, Tehreek Minhajul Quran, who holds Canadian nationality but carried it with a pride alien to other dual nationality holders mainly Altaf Bhai. It was a though, he jumped right off the airplane and landed like a SSG commando through a parachute, though some would call it a marvelous base jump. This brought a new twist to the already boiling cauldron of Pakistani politics giving Rehman Malik aka “Mr Know all” the chance to appear on TV frequently with his substandard remarks. Rehman Malik being the Interior Minister is not much of an expert politician. His contradictory and imperceptive comments, claiming to know everything and then backing out have made him a public joke. I hope that in future, he will come better prepared while putting his obtrusive views on airwaves. His knowledge of immediate terrorist attacks, which never happened, was ludicrous. The whole show put on by Rehman Malik backfired and made him look like a clown. I hope we will try to grow intelligent and clever with time.
Allama Qadri, in comparison is a Canadian citizen but still a better judge of human nature. At one point it seemed, his Tsunami would sweep away everything, even his own container like a broken twig in a fast flowing river. Yet his redeeming feature is that he keeps popping up, again and again, like a jack in the box. The people are of course looking for a Messiah.
