RAWALPINDI - The Lahore High Court (LHC) Rawalpindi Bench Monday converted death sentence of two convicts into life imprisonment. A divisional bench comprising Justice Mazhar Ali Akbar and Justice M Tariq Abbasi converted death sentence of a convict Moamar Khan into life imprisonment. Moamar Khan had murdered Zahoor Islam over a monetary issue in Sadiqabad. Separately, a divisional bench of LHC also converted death sentence of another convict Alam Zaib, who was arrested by ANF on charges of possessing 180kg of Charas from Burhan interchange.
