LAHORE - Representatives of 50 organisations of farmers will assemble for two days (March 3-4) here to discuss the problems facing the agriculture sector and chalk out a strategy to counter the situation. Being held under the aegis of the Pakistan Kissan Rabita Committee, the convention will seek Rs2000 per 40kg support price for wheat, ownership rights for the peasants working on state-owned farms, and discuss ways and means for reducing cost of production and increasing income of the farmers.
