'Council of Independent Balochistan' announced

QUETTA-Khan of Kalat Mir Suleiman Dawood has formally made announcement of Council for Independent Balochistan. He made this announcement in London on Tuesday. Talking to newsmen on phone, he said that without interference of UN and European Union reconciliation with Pakistan was impossible. Khan of Kalat said that British rulers had formally announced independence of Pakistan on August 11,1947. 'Independence of Pakistan was announced on August 14th 1947, he said ,adding, that Quaid Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah had held negotiations with Balochistan for annexing it with Pakistan but both houses of Kalat State had opposed it. 'Contrary to decision of both houses of Kalat State, Pakistani forces forcefully annexed Balochistan with Pakistan, he added. Suleiman Dawood congratulated Baloch people for observing Balochistans Independence Day on Tuesday and ,added, that it would be a milestone in movement for independence of Balochistan. 'Independent Balochistan is our aim and objective therefore we have formed a Council for Independent Balochistan, he said. He said that Baloch of Iran would also be given representation in this council. Responding to a question, he said that all separatist leaders including Nawabzada Bramdagh Bugti would also become part of this council. He said that Baloch cause had been highlighted internationally to a great extent, however, some people had distanced themselves from this movement and they could themselves answer about their attitude. He said that UK had a moral responsibility to raise the issue of Balochistans illegal occupation at international level. On the other hand, Baloch National Front (BNF) observed August 11th as Balochistans Independence Day and hoisted flags in different towns of Balochistan on Tuesday. According to reports reaching activists of BNF hoisted flags in different towns including Nushki, Kalat, Turbat, Gwadar and Kharan. However, due to tight security steps the activists could not come on the roads. BNF had appealed to the Baloch people to hoist the flag of independent Balochistan on their houses, cars and offices on August 11th to observe Balochistans Independence Day. The Baloch leaders in exile including Hyrbiyar Marri and Khan of Kalat Suleman Dawood had also requested the Baloch people for observing August 11th as the Independence Day.
